Elly has worked at KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation since 1994. In the beginning she worked as an administrative assistant and later she joined the Unit Research as a secretary. Besides her regular secretarial work, she also took care of the grant requests for scientific research and for the organization of the yearly TSRU meetings.

From 2009 - 2014 she worked as the secretary of the Executive Board, where she was responsible for the organization of the yearly General Assembly and symposia. Since January 2015 she has worked as the secretary of the Operations Division and undertakes the secretarial work associated with the Challenge TB project management team.
